When I look at her she smiles; the brightness in it can be seen from miles. She has been through more, than anyone’s ever seen before. She’s more than an awesome friend, and continues to fight excepting no end. I know I can’t fight what’s inside her; I can just hope and pray that one day I might say…my friend is a cancer survivor.

What inspired me to write this is how we are required to write a type of essay to be in NJHS. Lately I had been thinking about my friend who is battleing Leukemia. I miss her so much and all the time we used to spend together.
