Winter
The winter winds leave chills in the air,
Sending waves of white dust across the lawn.
The bitter cold that’s difficult to bear,
It’s just the start at the break of dawn.
A puff of smoke with every breath,
The freezing air makes you tremble.
The piercing cold feels like death,
Rushing to shelter, you scramble.
Long, freezing, winter nights and brief, chilly, winter days,
The purple sky hurling tiny flakes to the ground.
A glistening sea of white remains unfazed,
The winter day is peaceful and sound.
But winter is a wonderful time,
The comfort of home is pleasant.
The sound of jingle bells chime,
And the holiday season is present.
