Just a Dream

The sky is warm
As I sit with you,
And the clouds stare down
As the day becomes new.
The bright sun awakens
From under the land,
As I sit with you
And hold your hand.

But as real as it seems,
It’s all just a dream.
There’s no sky,
There’s no clouds,
There’s no day that is new.
There’s no sun,
There’s no land,
There’s no me,
There’s no you.
So I close my eyes
And I drift away,
As I sit with you,
And with you, I stay.
