As I Try to Write a Poem
As I am sitting here,
Trying to write a poem,
I touch my ears
And try to wiggle them
As I try to write a poem,
I look at my nails,
And feel the need to do them.
As I try to write a poem,
I begin to scribble,
And think of the word gribble.
Is that a word?
Gribble?
It sound a lot like dribble.
As I try to write a poem,
I can’t focus.
Why?
It’s not because I want some Canada Dry.
I just need a little hocus-pocus.
What for?
To bring my grades up.
