Valentines Day is no more
for all those who used to adore
the heart shaped cards from before.

Before it was a test
for your dear one to assess
the amount of love you possess.

This holiday I deplore.
I celebrate it nevermore,
because I cannot score.

The beating thing in my chest
I grant you no access,
because it needs a rest.

It is such a bore.
Don’t leave your flowers at my door.
I’ll take the chocolates, bring some more.
