Leaves
Where will I go next?
It’s not something I can tell
It’s destiny where the wind takes me
When I open my eyes I wonder where I’ll be
The tall tree stands above me
I can still see when I was young and ripe like apples redder than lava or greener than grass
When it’s your time the wind takes you where you belong
The rain rains on you and you slowly dissolve into the ground
The rain makes it so wet, it rains like a waterfall
When it rains you seem to get shorter and the trees get taller
Then suddenly you can’t see anymore
My destiny still awaits, and while I wait I still remember when I was young and ripe
