It’s the last day of school.

After this I’m in the pool.

But before I can have fun,

There’s just one little rule.

I got homework over summer,

It should last me one day.

“I swear I’ve had enough!

What, can’t I have a say?”

I know I’ll put it off.

Just after I play today.

It’ll only take me an hour.

It’s just one little day.

Before I know it,

School’s back in session.

I forgot to do my homework.

Guess I learned my little lesson.

I was lazy as a sloth,

But I did not care.

I failed my first assignment.

“Again, do I dare?”

I had to write a poem in Language arts class and it had to be about a choice that I make. I did not want to do it. I also did not know what to write about. So I decided to write it about procrastanating.
