a long hug
inside your coat
your face in my hair
you pull away first
of course
I try to hold on
a little longer
your fingers gently unclasp mine
I seize your hand
before it floats away again
and give it a quick kiss and then
I run
away
leaving you to wonder
or to shake your head and sigh
or both
