relaxation
you know you recall that
bummer summer breeze
that lifted skirts to just
right above the knees
the humdrum buzz of the
sidewalk bugs in their
little leaf cars and their
little stone bars
the holding of hands
under full moons and
the tiny tiny swoons
trapped in reams of
paper and dreams
and you remember well
how her mind did smell
not unlike daffodils
in spring
