My Best Friend
My best friend
The world may never know
Neither the pain nor the sorrow
That I had to face
On a day to day basis
From her beautiful smile
To her talking to me for what
She called just a little while
Even when I tried to hide my tears
I knew she was just a picture that would never disappear
The day she left this earth
Oh how I wanted to join her
Leaving behind her worries
On her way to a better place
One day I hope to see her once again face to face
My best friend was my grandmother
A friend like no other
Putting aside all her problems
To be the female version of Dr. Phil
Never was there a day
You would have seen her without a smile on her face
As I sit here thinking of the past
Her love will always last
The sweet memories she left behind
Will always bring water to my eyes
My best friend
I wish she were here
But I know that her presence will always be near
My grandmother was a true friend
One that will be in my heart until the very end
One that stuck by my side
With a head that was full of pride
I sit and look at photos of the past
Memories that will never fade
The love she shared
The smile that she wore
My best friend
