My Empty Bed
I'm sleeping in an empty bed again tonight,
instead of your arms wrapping me up and holding me tight.
It's so dark and dull without you,
and where you are, I haven't a clue.
I trust you thoroughly and completely,
because to being faithful, you did agree.
But now I'm in my empty bed and you are in yours,
which I hate, because its you that I adore.
The bed is so cold without your warmth,
I miss you holding and rocking me like a child back and forth.
"I'll see you again soon." is what you said,
but until then, I'm sleeping in my empty bed.
