Oh! The fun you will have
if an instrument you play,
a woodwind or brass or
a string-thing all day!
On the drums you can bang
and the tuba will bellow,
but meet the conductor –
He’s a very nice fellow!
He stands in the front
with his baton held high,
with the flick of his wrist
off the flutes shall fly!
They’ll tweetle and tootle and
the oboes shall too,
the saxes will wail
and the cow bell will moo.
Wait –
The cow bell can’t moo!
It clanks and it clangs…
