Moonlight Dancers

November 11, 2010
Fireflies fly high and about,
Flashing their light in our sight.
Little kids chasing them,
Sneakily and quietly.
Reaching out and catching,
Little critters of the night.

Crickets chirping and hopping around,
Owls making their hooting sound.
Insects crawling in the ground.
Raccoons come out to play.
People climbing into bed.
Resting their heads in the moonlight.

Moonlight dancers,
Come out at night.
This is their life,
Their time of day.
Moonlight dancers,
Come out to live,
When everyone is quiet,
They sneak around,
Not making any sound.
Moonlight dancers,
Hide at sunrise.
Their beauty to remain,
Hidden to the sunlight dancers.
