A Forest In Winter
Twilight falls,
The sky turns as black as stone
Snow gently, delicately drifts like falling rose petals
resting on the stiff arms of the trees,
spreading out ready to catch the first sign of dawn
Warming fire dances into the clouds like a rising spirit eagerly reaching for the sky
Icicles as exquisite as the most ostentatious diamond slowly, patiently form

 The darkest point, midnight
sheets upon sheets blanket the town frozen in time
Quiet, as if the world is in a state of permanet silence
Fires still ablaze cast a faint shadow accross the town
Sleeping hearts are beating crystals, cold and silent

 Morning,
 Colors splatter the sky,
 they're natural canvas
The darkness slowly ominously creeps away in a foreboding retreat,
waiting to once again overpower the blazing sun
Beaming smiles of the towns children resemble something of a glimmer.
The graze of colors build, the atmosphere a rainbow itself.
