We are what we repeatedly do; excellence, then, is not an act but a habit

It began at a funeral
With rose colored flowers
Sticking to his coffin
Under drops of clear water

It began with a kiss
Of white colored lips
With momma’s tears trailing
As she whispered into his ear that heard nothing

It began with silence
Souls searching for the missing
Hearts crying for the lost
Eyes weary with desperation

It began with truth
The living continue living
While ever wishing
For those gone

It began
It ended
At a funeral
