sometimes you’re stuck on a stupid path with stupid people listening to their stupid music that you care nothing about. but that’s the thing about people. they don’t care.

sometimes you’re waiting around at a coffee shop for some guy who was supposed to show up an hour ago and you’re meandering around looking for something to do that doesn’t make you feel like a sinking ship. but that’s the thing about people. they don’t care.

sometimes you’re walking a tightrope, with a row of people waiting to catch you on either side. but the second you slip, they get distracted and look away. so you fall. but that’s the thing about people. they don’t care.

and then sometimes you’re looking into the mouth of a lion and you see how big it’s teeth are, and you don’t look away because you think it’s fascinating but you’re scared as all hell that the mouth is gonna close and then it’s gonna be the end.

but lions are lions. not people.
