I am a daughter and a sister.
I wonder the true meaning of love.
I hear my grandma’s spiritual words.
I see sadness in my mother’s eyes.
I want to someday travel around the world.
I am a daughter and a sister.

I pretend everything is okay.
I feel tension and unhappiness at home.
I touch my beating heart pretending it is his.
I worry I will get hurt.
I cry when being told lies.
I am a daughter and a sister.

I understand that sometimes the past can be repeated.
I say the same will not happen to me.
I dream of a bright future.
I try to please everyone.
I hope in the future I please myself.
I am a daughter and a sister.
