I.

Five paces
Six paces
Ten paces behind him
Trying to catch up, she loses
her breath
Slows down
Eleven paces
Twelve paces
Twenty paces behind him
She gives up
and wonders if he
will ever
Wait For Her.

II.

Five paces
Six paces
Ten paces behind him
Trying to catch up, she loses
her breath
Walks faster
Nine paces
Eight paces
Two paces behind him
She steps up,
finds her courage, and finally says,
"Wait For Me."
