In Your Eyes

In your eyes,
I don't know,
but these days,
it's all I do.

In your eyes,
I'm just a child
Who had to much candy
The day after a holiday.

I grew up, but you're
Stuck in the past and memories of
Love that we shared and
Remembered the moments
Where I wasn't
like I am now.

You look at me,
and see a long haired,
Wide eyed, freckled face
girl.
Who isn't any older than
She says she is.

But things have changed,
Years have past,
but in your eyes,
I'm still that little girl,
Who lives next door
To the crazy woman
We used to laugh at as we
went by on our bikes.
In your eyes,
I'm still that little girl,
Who scrapes her knees and cries
because of the blood,
Not because it hurt.
In your eyes,
I'm still afraid of roller coasters

And big jumps down a hill.
Or climbing a tree that
looked like it was thousand feet tall.

I'm not that little girl,
I'm not afraid a big jumps,
or big trees,
Or blood.

I'm not the same as you remember...
and maybe if you didn't move away,
you would have
seen me change.
But I guess I'll always be the same

In your eyes.
