As the rain falls on my window,
I realize my life is crashing down around me.
Everything is going wrong;
Why can't it ever go right?
It's the middle of the night,
And I'm fading into the darkness.
I keep trying to get out.
But no matter what I do,
It just seems impossible to escape.

If I had one wish right now,
I'd go back, back to to a time much simpler than this;
Where reality was better than your dreams;
When this world actually made sense.
If I had that wish, maybe everything would be okay.

But not everybody get exactly what they want, so,
I'll just keep going through my life,
Torn in a million little pieces,
Pretending to be something I'm not.
But when I'm alone,
Tears will start streaming down my face.

But one thing I'm sure of is
There will come a day when everything is right.
I just hope that day doesn't come too late.
