Stay True to You
I walk along the streets seeing face after face,
Everyone different with their own special race.
I started to think how life would be,
If there were no differences to see.
It would be kind of odd,
Because everyone would be like two peas in a pod.
For a start, no one would be able to tell each other apart,
No one bigger, no one smaller,
Not even a single person would be taller.
Without any cultures to learn or share,
No one would have a different say or care.
All having the same foods and taste,
I’m starting to think things really wouldn’t be that great.
Mexican food would be forgotten,
We would all be like identical balls of cotton,
Wow, things are really sounding rotten!
Discrimination would be gone from this nation,
But our lives wouldn’t be filled with much creation and imagination.
We are like snowflakes, not a single one is the same,
We should respect our differences because none are bad or lame.
I started to think what life is really about,
Everyone’s different and that’s what will always count!
