From first moment’s glance,
I was always missing you.
Your enveloping mystery
forever entices my soul.
As I endlessly wait to see you once more,
time stretches on into unbearable thinness.
I love to recognize you,
even when you are not there.
In those split seconds, you shine
brilliant, beautiful radiance
into an already dim day without you.

No one else can draw me in.
I am truly enthralled in a web
of your unknowing seduction.
If chasing you is futile,
I know not of time better wasted.
I gaze at the pale moon,
hoping its silvery light unites us tonight.
Barely enduring your absence.
How can I make you mine?
You, the resplendent piece
missing from the puzzle that is my life.
