A forest of one cannot shade a picnicking family on a vivid spring day
As a single tulip cannot shed the aromas of sweetness throughout an entire garden
A soldier no matter how equipped cannot prosper in the thunderous wars of nations
A soloist tea party on a crisp Sunday afternoon would make a lousy dine
Creativity would not be appeased by repetition of a solitary mundane tune
Democracy of our nation could not be held up by the shoulders of one politician
One copier machine could not live up to the demands of a soulful teacher’s heart
Problems and tribulations cannot be solved or let alone even addressed by one mind
If one insect lived upon the earth then teenagers would go fearless, and lizards starving
Librarians would be without jobs if a single author and novel were preoccupying the shelves
Peace of mind and worldly peace are both impossible for a single spirit
We live in a place and time where unification is crucial to our existence
As a nation we are an overflowing melting pot of rich cultures and passionate ideas
Creativity is permeated through the air we breathe and written in our very bones
Hands holding hands and hearts touching hearts
Alone we stand no chance against what life is throwing at us
Together we seize or futures and make all the more difference
Together we can
