True Talent
You say I can't do anything,
You say I'm not worthy,
You say I have no talent.
What do I have to say to that?
I say you don't know what talent is.
I try hard at everything I do,
Especially to the things I love.
One year after another I
always get shot down for
being 'not good enough.'
I'm done with that nonsense.
If you don't give me a chance,
You could be missing out.
One day when I'm successful
and you're wishing you gave
me a chance back in those years.
Remember, you didn't let me try.
It's your loss, not mine.
