My Storm
Sometimes,
When the thought
Of you not loving me
Becomes too painful to handle,
I go outside,
At night,
In the rain
And I scream your name
Over and over
Until each raindrop falling down on me
Echoes my cry.
And then,
When I am soaked and shivering,
I allow myself to cry,
And let my tears mix with the rain
And my shaking and sobbing
Takes over the shivering
So no one can tell that I miss you
And that I’m not strong.
In the end the rain will stop,
And I will dry my eyes and move forward,
Because that’s the only way to go.

Life isn't about surviving the storm, it's about learning to dance in the rain.
