Blackness all around.
I wait
for a word,
but it is only me, and
the screaming silence
of the night.

A plane overhead;
it is loud,
and so is the wind
blowing through
the trees.
The trees;
they are bursting
with green;
with life,
but in shadow.

My breath;
it is alone.
All else,
is hushed.
But I,
I do not worry.
For the night,
is here,
It is now.
And it is…

The author's comments:
I suddenly had the idea to right this when i was sitting in the car at night and in the quiet, everything started to make itself noticed.
