autmn memories
Yellow, orange, green, and brown
I sit and wonder as they come down
The grass turns brown, the trees lose their leaves
People must wear at-least shirts with sleeves
Apples, pumpkins, gourds, and squash
Fruits and veggies you must wash
Pies and soups, breads and stews
Comfort foods to warm and chase the blues
Crisp cool morning, sunny afternoons
Early sunsets, bright full moons
Glorious sunshine, blustery storms
Weather can change from night till morns
Ghosts, goblins, scarecrows, and hayrides
Black cats, zombies send chills down your sides
Make-up, and wigs, costumes and candy
Door to door knocking with a flash light handy
Fall in New England what a wonder to see
The sights, the sounds, the smells, all mean home to me
