Rhyme and Reason
If there was such a thing
As rhyme and reason
I wouldn’t be the way I am
Fucked up on talked up
Things such as craze
Things like tomorrow
And how to make each day naïve
I wouldn’t be sour
I would be sweet like the sea
Washing along shores
Simple and peace
I would be beautiful
And full of good thoughts
But because there’s no reason
I’m afraid I’m just taught
How to bleed
And how to die
How to be me
Well isn’t this grand
I just told you simply
That I am me
And because there’s no rhyme
This poem ends like shit.
