Circle in a sea of squares
I’m sorry that I upset you
For not fitting in that square shaped box
Because my personality is a circle
That doesn’t mix with the other ones
Others gawk
When I walk down the hall
But how could I care
When I was just being myself?
Even when I try
To have the corners of a square
Wear the clothes that everyone else wears
I laugh too much
Lie not often enough
To be like the others
You want me to be a part of
They may point, they may laugh
But all I’ll do is smile back
Because I’m just being myself
In the sea of squares
where I’m the only dot
