In Person

October 20, 2010

You,
Make me smile,
Make me laugh
You call me beautiful,
but only in typed words
I want to hear your voice,
and hear the way you say,
those sweet things
I want you to talk to me in person,
Tell me I’m beautiful to my face
You say it will be awkward
Trust me, I don’t bite
Because to me,
it isn’t fair,
that they get to hear your voice,
and I get to read a text

I love the concept of this poem, and I can certainly relate to it. Texts really are annoying when you just want to hear that someone say what they have to say in person so you can hear how it sounds from their lips.
