I don't understand, why the world is so bland.
Why life is gray and fruits decay.
Though I know I despise, how the sky always cries
Tears of boredom, apathy, and fear of lies.
Never seen, never heard.
I see a thousand birds,
A thousand paper cranes
So I can wish myself away.
The sky is ash, it looks like rain
Tangible misery that erodes the sunny day.
The clouds rip and the rain pours.
An emotion I can touch, I want more, more, more.
The sun punches through,
And it's all that I can do,
To smile at the rainbow
While I'm searching for the blue.
The world may be bland,
And the skies are sometimes gray,
But when the sun shines forth
I see the lovely day.
Why life is gray and fruits decay.
Though I know I despise, how the sky always cries
Tears of boredom, apathy, and fear of lies.
Never seen, never heard.
I see a thousand birds,
A thousand paper cranes
