Dream World

You let me fall, you watched me crash
You caused my pain and left me when I needed you the most
Picking up the pieces of me, alone.
Lying to myself thinking you cared, thinking I mattered
Hoping one day you’d realize that I mean something
Sitting up and praying that you’d be missing me too,
I was in a dream world.

This is about that something or someone that's let you down, who said they'd be there and they're not. You wish it was different but it never is.
