in the fog
Fog…
As I walk alone in this fog.
Wondering when you’ll ever come back.
Hoping and wishing to god
That you will forgive me for all the things
I’ve done. As I walk in this fog
I see myself fading away like love does when
You write it on a window.
As I walk in this fog I wonder where
God would lead me to.
Whether I get a second chance.
But I see now that you’re slipping through
My finger like fog does when you try to
Capture it. Love slips through your fingers
Just like water does when you pick it up
With a fork.
In this fog I see now that we were
Never meant to be…
And then I open my eyes and find out
That this was all a dream!
