Curiosity,
it overwhelms you,
deceives and misguides.
Targeting your very mind,
Makes you think,
what's in the box?
Smooth green leather,
encasing the gem that is.
You consider, you contemplate.
The fight against
curiosity
still is.
Defeated or defeater?
Curse or gift?
Hands begin to tremble
at the sight of a choice,
at the sight of a
mystery.
Shall it be discovered,
or remain a taunting thought.
In the end,
the battle lost.
The box is opened.
