Sinking feather, that drowns in air
Loss, too broken to try;
Violent vision, dousing the flair
Drinks the sand dry;
Dead leaf, in veins of blood,
Lost water, in air of flood,
Crimson sky and burning mud, –
Shatter the fading shadow’s cry.
