Government Garbage
Soldiers walk through the woods of war—
everywhere they look, bullets from battle cover the forest floor.
They encounter people, unable to distinguish friend from foe,
villagers, seem harmless one second,
then destroy them the next.
Bullets of terror rain upon American soldiers,
battle after battle,
as if the gates of hell are reaching out,
to claim those who have taken innocent civilians--
who have moved from village to village,
home to home,
burning everything to the ground
until ash covers fallen corpses.
Majority might be against what is happening,
but government garbage orders are carried out like trash.
