Autumn Peace

The crisp breeze rustles the trees,
suggesting that my bare arms find a jacket.
The sun melts into the sky,
leaving a warm glow to the golden-amber leaves.

Spices dance in my nose,
and I can sense a pot of chili
cooking on the stove.

The door bell rings.
A Spiderman and a princess greet me with smiles
and stare at the bowl of treats in my hand.

With a sigh of relief,
I curl up into my cotton jacket
and listen to the spooky music.

There isn’t a single thing to be anxious about.

Warm colors of this evening
wave at me through the leaves of an oak,
giving autumn a feeling that only it can hold.

Serenity…
Peace…
Perfection…

I hope people will feel the emotion I am trying to convey which is being at peace. I feel this in the fall with the weather.
