I am from pop music and writing,
from pencils and ipods.
I am from not knowing what to believe in,
from lack of religion.
I am from my mothers parenting,
from her loving fearlessness.
I am from the small yellow house,
from shingles and paint.
I am from having fears,
from failure to embarrassment.
I am from christmas carols,
from lying under the christmas tree.
I am from making mistakes,
from living life.
I am from the cupboard in my mothers bedroom,
where all the memories are kept.
That is where I am from.
