Like a river
In the maroon-reflecting waters
He shimmies in her womb
Blessed sounds remain
Tiny fingers padding the shell
Seeping, reaching, waiting
Like a river
He flows
Gently escaping his home
Sounding like gunshots
Gasps of tiny air
Escape his mouth
His nakedness blushing
He bellows into the night
Like a river
Pillows in peace
The day is done
His heart beats a new voice
