Listen
Did it ever occur to you that I’m hurting to?
That its not just you who feels pain and stress.
But no you wouldn’t realize that I'm falling apart.
You're way to caught with her, trying to make things right.
You don’t see all the wrong in me.
You don’t see that I'm hurting more than ever.
You'd think you would know a little bit more about your daughter right?
You'd think you would know why she has panic attacks and ends up in the hospital.
Maybe if you would listen you would hear her silently wishing her life away every night.
If you listened and looked carefully you would see that.
She cuts.
She cries.
She starves.
She hurts.
If you listened you would know that she has been suicidal for the past year.
If you listened you would know that she has a mood disorder.
If you listened you would know that she has an eating disorder.
If you listened you would know that she struggles with depression.
And if you really listened you would know that this family is the only reason she is still here.
