The attic you said something over the court of midnight
a cave down there
today it’s silent
it was worst than before
mad over his thoughts into the force of dread.

The author's comments:
I had one person reading "Pete and Pickles" by Berkeley Breathed to me while another was reading "The Dark is Rising" by Susan Cooper. Whatever words or phrases I heard I would write them down. Then I added words and edited the poem and typed it.
