The Morning of Gold
I woke up today with my stomach grumbling,
the hunger awakening me, shaking my insides, alerting me.
The cold smug of the air washed through my head,
as my window stood glaring.
I rolled over to find the sunshine that was missing,
the shine glowing over me as I ran through fields of golden flowers,
dreaming.
I lay there watching with eyes of affection,
My soul reflecting right back,
like two mirrors opposite each other,
Never-ending.
Then I wondered,
What is God going to lay in my path today?
