Lying in the Snow This work has been published in the Teen Ink monthly print magazine.

By
The chill.
creeps up my back,
slips down my shoulders,
wraps around my arms.
I face the night sky.
nature to nature.

beautiful.

terrifying

moonlight envelops my skin,
dances across my eyes.
diamond stars
float through the icy sky,
like fireflies skimming water.
My breath is vapor,
soft against the glassy frost.
I feel the chill.
again.
the snow drifts
and I drift away.
Lying in the snow.
