Picture Perfect
In my hand lies a perfect little moment.
Frozen in time to be remembered forever.
That same moment that I will cherish ‘til the end of my days.
The moment that can never be forgotten.
A memory that I never want to disappear.
As I hold my perfect little moment
A smile stretches from cheek to cheek
And my eyes start to fill with crystal blue tears
That flow down my face like a river waiting to end.
Suddenly my smile starts to weaken
With every second I sit there staring.
For my perfect little moment
Doesn’t feel so perfect anymore.
In fact, the only thing perfect about it.
Is how perfectly broken it makes me feel.
