hey you;
with the broken smile
you pretend everything is fine.
hey you;
with the desolate mind,
you are hoping to fill this void.
hey you;
with the finger in the air,
you are trying not to give up.
hey you;
with the morose demeanor,
you are too pretty to be in such a mood.
hey you;
with the lethargic way you carry yourself,
you are in need of a pick me up.
hey you;
with the blank stare,
you'll find your place in this world.

I wrote this in December 2009 when i was well on the way to losing myself, and i have come a long way since.
