words suspended above my head
make the blood in my veins run red
the sweet fruits in our garden turn ripe
and I'm blinded by your smile, as day turns from night

the chilly waters run deep in the river
of which you cross to deliver
great volumes of love trapped in words
but the soft voice in each letter is heard

crossing the barrier of thought and feeling
my head spends and sends me reeling
into the soft arms of happiness, with such disbelief!
but the bewilderment is very brief

suddenly I slide out of the arms
and into yours, fighting off the loves alarms
cause you are a beautiful girl, warming and benign
this is a description of the beautiful girl of mine!
