Sweet voices and laughter
Love for one another
Good night kisses
Good morning hugs

Always there for the ones we love
Supporting them in whatever they do
We always have their backs
We’ll always be there to catch them when they fall
They are the ones that we truly care about

Loud church bells ring
As we rush into church
Even though we know were late

Loud obnoxious gatherings on holidays
When we all come together as one
We grab one another’s hands and bow our heads to say grace
We dig into the meal prepared by one another
Voices chime in again
Conversations intertwine one another
Goodbye hugs are passed along
See you soon is said
The door is closed once again
Soon to be opened

The cold air comes in and out
As their sweet voices and laughter escape out the door
And I think about their love for one another
Their joy and happiness
Makes me feel at home
For I truly am
I now know
The goodbye hugs and kisses happen because we are
Family
