An Unusual Pleasure

The need for this runs ever deep,
But only once will I achieve.
The needs for structure, rules all leave.
Leave a poetic side of me.

But just this once,
Then it’s back to see
The life I’ve always seen-
An empty blackened seed.

The author's comments:
Every so often, I read a piece of written work and feel touched. The feeling wears away, and the realization that that work was so touching simply because I've restricted myself - forgotten that I could feel, that I could love. From this springs the need to at least try to express something as that author did. The issue: I need structure, grammar, criteria. Throwing these out, I left myself with their void and An Unusual Pleasure.
