If I never see you again,
I need you to know,
That everything we went through,
The fighting
The tears
The kisses
The wishes on the first star that you always knew I thought about
Was worth it.
Because you
And me
Became us.

And summers past you were there,
Waiting for me on my door step.
During the year I would get the feeling that could only be described As butterflies,
Whenever I would see anything Iron-man related, or Daises.
And when he kissed me.... all I could think about was you-
And so maybe that's just what the trashy teen novels that you get at Airports, would call a summer romance.
A romance that ends when the school bell rings.
I've always hated those books.

And when the beach house is closed up for winter-
And I start ordering my books-
All I can think about is you.

You were the one always there to hold my hand,
Always there to make me laugh,
Always there to give me advice,
Help me on my way
My partner in crime
Always there to catch my tears,
Tears of thoughts of leaving you.

And so now as summer draws to a close,
The house is closed up for a lot more winters than one.
And if I never see you again,
I'm sorry for the pain I've caused you.
I'm glad to see you've moved on.
Cause I guess I'm just a summer romance to you,
You, my first love.
And I'll never forget the summer where-
You
And me
Became us
