"We"
Where have you gone, oh friend of mine,
Leaving me here in the dust?
To sit and wait, for you my friend,
To wait for my soul to rust?
Before we were buds, the best of friends,
Our sentences started with "we".
But now, alone in this world so vast,
Now there is only me.
Time's gone by, I've waited for you,
Waited for some sort of sign,
But now I see, you're not coming back,
Not coming to this house of mine.
My heart grows cold, and empty friend,
For your soul used to warm it so,
Now it's cold, and dark in there,
Where nothing seems to grow.
My my, what's this, dear friend,
Now you are coming back?
Back to me, where you used to be,
Back to my heart; now black.
Okay, I guess, one more chance for "us",
One more chance for "we".
One more time in my heart, dear friend,
Where you are meant to be.
